Camouflage twill barrel trousers in khaki and beige – Imperial

High-waisted trousers with a barrel leg: it curves out at the knee, shaped by seams, then narrows at the ankle. The line is sculpted, almost graphic, and the camouflage print in soft khaki and beige makes it easy to wear.

With the short boxy jacket in the same twill, they make a co-ord; with the matching oversized blazer, a dressier suit. They also work with a fine ecru jumper and loafers for every day, or with a black leather jacket and ankle boots.

The cotton twill, woven on the diagonal like denim, is dense and holds the rounded shape of the leg; 2% elastane adds comfort. Belt loops, zip and button fastening, slanted side pockets. Machine washable.

The barrel cut has taken over from straight jeans this season. Here it meets camouflage, another strong autumn print, for a piece to wear with plain basics.
